That was with the confirmation of eight more Kovid deaths by the Director General of Health Services yesterday (18).
Accordingly, with the onset of the second wave of Kovid, the number of Kovid-19 infected deaths reported in Sri Lanka is 417.
Kovid deaths were reported from Dematagoda, Borella, Meegoda, Reedimaliyadda, Dekatana, Maradana, Keselwatta and Wattala yesterday, the Director General of Health Services was quoted as saying by the Government Information Department.
The department said three of the dead were women and the rest were men.
The suspects were aged 67, 58, 43, 52, 86, 74 and 81.
The Director General of Health Services has also confirmed that they have died of acute diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma and pneumonia.
